Pay rate starts at $27.00 to $33.00 (pay increase depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Rotating both Shifts every two weeks
7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Summary
A Maintenance Technician (Maintenance Mechanic, Electrician, Plumber) is in charge of performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. Their duties include fixing machinery, plumbing, heating, and wiring, inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards, and scheduling major repairs with the building’s inhabitants. This is a temp-to-hire position.
Responsibilities
A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. A Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility. Some other tasks a Maintenance Technician may be called upon to do include:
- Setting up an annual, quarterly, and monthly Preventive Maintenance schedule and implementing the schedule, and setting up backup plans in case of any discrepancy when carrying out the plan.
- Monitoring the progress of the actual preventive maintenance plan and updating the progress in the ERP.
- Check the condition of the equipment and perform work to maintain stable equipment condition.
- Prepare and manage spare materials and tools for stable maintenance of equipment.
- Find any broken parts or damaged wiring of the equipment and perform replacement operations.
- Perform work on equipment failures and proactively inspect equipment to ensure that there are no failures.
- Measures are taken to prevent the recurrence of equipment failures.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance of the equipment.
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
Requirements
A Maintenance Technician requires a diverse mix of both hard and soft skills, particularly manual labor skills, including:
- Two years of college or technical school (Required) & Relevant Majors a Plus
- More than one year of experience in the Semiconductor field (preferred, but not required)
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of the manufacturing process
- Able to cope with pressure and be a team player
- Able to work irregular or extended hours, including weekends and nights as needed
- Able to lift 50 pounds without restriction
- Able to stand and be on feet for up to 12 hours
- Must be a safety and quality-conscious person
- Goal and customer-oriented individual
- Must have the ability to work with small quantities of chemicals and in a wet lab environment (applicable to specific job function)
- Skilled as a trainer/mentor/coach with a focus on individual and team growth
- Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems
- Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the equipment’s electricity
- Ability to handle basic repairs around the equipment.
- Ability to maintain clean room equipment
- Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant manner
- Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner, and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
- Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building

Working Conditions
- The job may involve exposure to various chemicals, dust, and noise typical of a manufacturing environment.
- Some tasks may require lifting and moving heavy objects or operating equipment.
- While working in the cleanroom, wearing special clean clothes, gloves, shoes, a mask, and a hood is mandatory.
